Day of Judgement

EDIT: Ok, so, because people keep mentioning this "Malefor" character, let me just make this clear- not every dragon who's purple and huge is Malefor (or Barney, for that matter. Barney's also purple).

I apologize for being a bit nippy about this- I've just seen comments like that on not only my work but other people's, and I'd like to remind everyone that unless the artist specifically says that it is FANART or referenced, it is NOT a replication of an already existing character. I can appreciate that sometimes a painting can remind a person of a character they've seen before -which is totally fine-, but it can be disrespectful to the artist who worked so hard to paint it if they're told every 5 minutes that, "You just painted ____" or "That's totally ____" (again, unless it's fanart- then go right ahead!). I'm not saying any of you guys have meant it as an accusatory statement, but...I personally just would rather the artwork itself be commented on, since it by itself in an individual piece of work and NOT meant to relate to any other existing dragon design. =/

Yeah, I finally finished it.

This is the dragon in my novel, whose name shall not be mentioned as I know there are little thieves running about on dA -_- (also, apologies for the ugly watermark, but this IS a copyrighted piece, and there was another recent incident of theft, so...can't be too prepared!) Some of the detail written about also was not added, as, again, I don't want the true design taken.

Oh, and wonderful news on my part- I HAVE A TABLET. YAY. Although I'm not entirely sure how to use it. Currently using my mouse as a crutch because I haven't yet fully switched over and learned what is what....>_> I'm a bit of a fail as an artist...

Done on Photoshop CS3 with Vistablet- and my handy-dandy mouse.
