PRICINGS:

****Prices ranges depend on size of sheet, detail, number of characters, detail of background if any background, time expected to be needed in order to finish a piece, etc.****

NOTE: The following prices I usually stay within, but pricing CAN be negotiated if needed. Please pm me if there is a problem regarding any of this.

:bulletgreen: A sketch usually ranges from 5-50$ if rougher and in graphite pencil/1 colored pencil, cleaner pencil/rough pen/clean pen lineart sketches range from $7-$25, depending on size of sketch/etc.
Example of cleaner sketch: theguardiandragon.deviantart.c…
Example of cleaner sketch: theguardiandragon.deviantart.c…

:bulletgreen: Rough COLORED pen, pencil, SIMPLE-colored digital, and mixed media sketches cost from $8-40, depending on the previously stated. More pricey commissions are the simple-colored digital and mixed media sketches...

:bulletgreen: A full graphite pencil commission can range from $10-300, depending on what was previously stated. If I feel that it is a commission that will take very little time, it can go under $20! =D Includes S/H if you want the original art.
Example of $10 piece: fav.me/d2wgcj1
Example of $150 piece (12"x14"- large): theguardiandragon.deviantart.c…

:bulletgreen: Full ink commissions range from $20-$200. Includes S/H if you want the original.

:bulletgreen: Ink and graphite pencil mixed media commissions range from $20-$150. Includes S/H if you want the original.

:bulletgreen: Full digitally-painted commissions range from $30-$300+, entirely dependant on how complex the artwork is, what style it is in (basic coloring, no shading or other costs MUCH less than realisms, anime/manga styles cost in between). Example: theguardiandragon.deviantart.c…

Things I take into consideration when accepting commissions, concerning myself and others:
:bulletred: Is it a bust, headshot, 2/3, or full-body picture? Headshots and busts cost considerably less, unless very finely detailed.
:bulletred: What type of background does the commissioner want, if any? Ie. City landscapes= tedious, single color= very easy, etc.:bulletred: How large is the commission size-wise? Is it smaller than a regular-sized sheet of paper? Is it less than 50mb?
:bulletred: How soon does the commissioner want his/her art? Art takes a long time for me- I'm a snail and if I rush, I make mistakes. Sketches usually take in between 2 hours to a couple days, depending on what the content of the drawing is. Full pencil commissions can take over a week to do, if detailed. Sometimes longer. This goes for ink/lineart commissions as well. Digital pieces can take a month or more at times. It depends entirely on how much time I have to work on it, how much detail is entailed, how many characters are included, what textures are required (fur, scales, leaves, water, etc).
:Is the commissioner serious about their commission? Payment must be paid as soon as possible after being commissioned, and if I do not receive payment for longer than two weeks after the commission date (unless contacted otherwise), I will consider the transation null.

Method of payment: paypal.

S/H: will be included in the amount I ask if you want the original artwork (this goes for traditional pieces). Just make sure to tell me whether you want the original or not!!!! Papers will be send in large envelopes (not in tubes), backed with a sturdy, flat material so that the package does not wrinkle, bend excessively, etc. S/H does not include insurance- if you would like insurance, please inform me when you commission so that I can factor that as well into the total price. =)

NOTE THAT I require payment before working, for obvious reasons. If there is a problem with payment, please contact me and we can settle the matter accordingly. If I for some reason cannot finish a commission, I will let you know asap and WILL REFUND 100%.

If you have any questions/concerns, feel free to leave a comment or send me a pm!

Ok, so, considering the fact that I've been trapped like a prisoner in my own home for 4 months because of the cancellation of my study-abroad program in Tokyo, I've been rather antsy and restless lately...until I realized, hey! I can go to AnimeBoston now! I was already preparing for Otakon, which is in a couple of months, and would have literally died of boredom without my commissions and the hope of actually getting out of the house for more than, say, an hour. This 'free escape pass', as I'm fondly referring to my AnimeBoston ticket, is allowing me not only to get out of NY for once but also see some friends who I haven't been in contact with for a while, in addition, of course, to having the privilege of dressing up in the most absurd outfits I can muster up before the 22nd. XD (Yay absurd outfits. Or rather, yay absurd Teru cosplay from the Versailles Jubilee album/Serenade pv, to be more specific...>_>)

So, anyways, my question is- how many of you -who actually take the time to read my journals- are going? I already talked to a couple dA people about it, who I'm extremely excited to see in a week and a half, but I'm wondering if there are any other hidden cosplayers/crossplayers out there who watch me and are planning on taking the sacred pilgrimage to the Holy Land of the Otakus. I'd love to see some of you there, so shoot me a comment if you're going, as well as any cosplays you plan on wearing! =D

On a similar note, I'm planning on attending the Sakura Matsuri that's taking place in the Brooklyn Botanical Garden (NYC) that's going on from April 30th-May 1st, so maybe I'll see some of you there as well. ^^

Aaaaand lastly, commissions are still open. ^_^

The worst news of all, after hearing what happened in Japan- my study-abroad program has been suspended, and I can no longer go to the one place I've dreamed of being in for years. Not only that, but this was kind of my last chance to do it, and because it's too late to take courses for this semester, I can no longer graduate on time, either. And job-hunting has been futile for the past months I've been at home waiting for this program to start, so...I don't know what to do. I feel completely broken, and it seems like everything is just....hopeless. I'm sick of people saying, "At least you're safe" or "It'll get better"- that doesn't help what's currently going on. My dream has been crushed, my friends who live in Japan are in danger, my schooling has been thrown upside-down, as have all of my plans for this summer when I was supposed to come back from Japan...and even some emotional crap that has been going on that I was going to move on from during my time there no longer can be so easily gotten rid of. And traveling there in the future for a few weeks is NOT the same as living there with a family for months, studying there, and being able to truly experience the way of life first-hand and grow as a person from that in a way that one cannot in their own country, so no, I'm not taking that as a substitute.
After the excitement and hard work getting everything together in preparation, the ludicrous amount of money I've put towards summer intensives in order to ready myself language-wise, the amount of studying I've done, the effort put in to making everything work out and the things sacrificed in order to let me go...and then the long-time dream of finally being able to go there after the years of wishing, this has probably been the biggest blow to my life since 8 years ago when my brother passed away.

People keep saying there's a light at the end of the tunnel, and I tend to be optimistic when it comes to that, but this time....I don't see it. I'm sorry, I don't. I don't think it's there this time.

In other news, since I'm trapped here with no hope of leaving, commissions are still a go. Feel free to contact about a commission any time.

Commissions open until March 20th, closed until August!

So, as many of you know, I'm leaving for Tokyo, Japan on March 28th for about 3 1/2 months for study-related purposes, and am very very excited, but am not going to be able to bring my art equipment with me due to the weight limit of my suitcase/etc. Therefore, I won't be able to take commissions over there, so if you'd like to have something done by me in the next couple months, you either have to schedule your commission now or wait until around August. =/ I'd love to at least have one or two more projects to work on before then since I have some free time now, so if anyone is interested to have one done in the near future, please DO NOT wait. I'm feeling generous around this time, so take advantage of the fact that I may easily be persuaded to lower a price. ;D

Otakooooon- so, I'm wondering who's going, if anyone is. I'm definitely going to be there, even though it's only like a week after I get back and I'm sure I'll still be tempted to sleep during daylight hours even then. XD (Sooo looking forward to jet lag- sounds like a blast.) It's been on my mind lately, since I have to finish up all of my cosplays/outfits within the next couple weeks, given that I'm not going to have too much time once I'm back. So, anyone? Anyone? = D

Also, another note regarding people in Japan currently....
日本に住んでいる人か留学している人に関して、あそこに遊ぶや会う事が直ぐに出来るから嬉しくなってるよ!一緒にすごくいい経験にしようね。今楽しみにして、その時に待ってるよね!(^_^)/

I'm opening commissions again, as I have a good three months worth of free time before I go to Japan, and what would be a better way to get fat and lazy than sit in front of the computer painting! XD Jk. Anyways, feel free to pm me with any questions regarding commissions, and I'll get back to you asap. (Read after next message for commission details ^_^).

So...I got a DD. I am so ridiculously happy right now that I may just float away. ^_^ Thank you, everyone, who has been supporting me- I love you all soooo much. (I'd hug you all, but considering the distance....please accept this cyber-cookie as a sign of immense appreciation: :cookie: And yes, the dA emoticons list says thats a cookie...>_> I'm sorry it doesn't look more appetizing).
Also...the generosity of the people on dA truly astounds me sometimes.
To the incredible :iconaislinnnight1: who was sweet enough to give me a 3-month dA sub- you are absolutely wonderful. I can't thank you enough. T_T :heart::heart:
